Ingredients of Prawn gyozas

  1. You need 16 of gyoza wrappers.
  2. It's 150 g of cooked prawns roughly chopped.
  3. Prepare 1/2 of white onion roughly chopped.
  4. Prepare 1 of spring onion sliced.
  5. You need 1 of red chilli roughly chopped.
  6. Prepare 1 knob of ginger finely chopped.
  7. You need 2 cloves of garlic finely chopped.
  8. Prepare 1 tbsp of freshly chopped coriander.
  9. It's of Salt / pepper.
  10. It's 1 tbsp of oil for frying.

Prawn gyozas step by step

  1. Put all of the ingredients (minus the wrappers), chopped, into a blender and blend until you have a slightly chunky paste.
  2. Place a tsp full of paste into the centre of a gyoza wrapper, wet the outer rim of the wrapper with water and fold in half, then pleat the edges (I’ll be honest, given this was the first time I’ve done anything like this, I had to follow a YouTube video). Prawn gyozas
  3. Next heat a tbsp oil in a pan with a lid (I used the lid of my le creuset and a frying pan) over a medium / high heat and add the gyozas. Cook for a minute or two until the base is golden brown. Then add around a quarter of a cup of water and place the lid on top of the pan to allow the gyozas to steam for about 3 mins..
  4. Remove from the pan and serve with a mixture of soy sauce and sesame oil, or whatever sauce you fancy..
